Hi! I’m Mark Mullan
I have been doing humanitarian work with the EU and UN for over 20 years. I was in Africa during the Rwandan crisis and I have been in Syria negotiating to get aid to starving refugees. I have worked in Brussels and know how to get things done. I’m running to be your MEP in the European Parliament. I have always been driven to help people; I help those who have lost their home find shelter, I help people access health care and I help them gain education, even in times of crisis.
While working in far flung places, it’s hard to imagine that a similar crisis in services is happening at home. I do not like the selfish politics in Ireland. I want to change that. I want to get to the core of where decisions are taken. I want to be an informed voice for you in Europe. I have the experience to change things. Vote for me on May 24th to put "humanity into politics.

Vision
CHANGE POLITICS
I am not a politician. A new name is needed. I want to break the culture of MEP`s spending five years in Brussels with no one knowing what they're doing. Your ideas are important; I want your input so we can build a new Europe for Ireland. I don't just want to develop policy, I want solutions. I promise to be visible, held accountable and determined to represent you.
A NEW DEAL for ireland
These elections are probably one of the most important ever. We must not waste the opportunity to redefine Europe post-Brexit. We need a new deal for Ireland within the EU that is fair. I believe in a team approach and, if elected, I would like to work with my fellow MEP`s to establish common ground and ensure a unified agenda for our country. At this historical turning point, we need fresh ideas from outside the political bubble from someone who brings real world experience.
putting you first
I will work for you. I'm a humanitarian who has spent 20 years working with the European Commission, the United Nations and leading aid organisations. My work has taught me to always put people first. I have contributed to finding practical solutions to the delivery of basic services like health, housing and education in under-developed countries.
These are now key issues in Ireland. I will bring a humane and practical approach to tackling these key issues as well as migration, climate change, EU trade policies. I'm also determined to represent the interests of small businesses in Dublin and throughout Ireland, having previously co-founded a tech start-up in Dublin.
promote neutrality
In every conflict zone I've visited, I've always been respected and trusted because I am Irish. Our neutrality was hard-fought for, but is now under threat. Europe wants Ireland to join an EU army but our army should instead focus on continuing its proud tradition of serving in UN peace-keeping missions. John F Kennedy described Ireland" as a maker and shaper of world peace". We are known as a compassionate and generous people who respect human rights. I want to bring those Irish core values to Europe.
